besides [that which] the traders [brought], and the traffic of the merchants, and of all the kings of the mingled people, and of the governors of the country.

And God helped him against the Philistines, and against the Arabians that dwelt in Gur-baal, and the Meunim.

That I may make the voice of thanksgiving to be heard, And tell of all thy wondrous works.

O God, thou hast taught me from my youth; And hitherto have I declared thy wondrous works.

We will not hide them from their children, Telling to the generation to come the praises of Jehovah, And his strength, and his wondrous works that he hath done.

Declare his glory among the nations, His marvellous works among all the peoples.

Oh that men would praise Jehovah for his lovingkindness, And for his wonderful works to the children of men!

He hath made his wonderful works to be remembered: Jehovah is gracious and merciful.

It shall never be inhabited, neither shall it be dwelt in from generation to generation: neither shall the Arabian pitch tent there; neither shall shepherds make their flocks to lie down there.

O Jehovah, thou art my God; I will exalt thee, I will praise thy name; for thou hast done wonderful things, [even] counsels of old, in faithfulness [and] truth.

Lift up thine eyes unto the bare heights, and see; where hast thou not been lain with? By the ways hast thou sat for them, as an Arabian in the wilderness; and thou hast polluted the land with thy whoredoms and with thy wickedness.

It hath seemed good unto me to show the signs and wonders that the Most High God hath wrought toward me.

And because the haven was not commodious to winter in, the more part advised to put to sea from thence, if by any means they could reach Phoenix, and winter [there; which is] a haven of Crete, looking north-east and south-east.

And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondly prophets, thirdly teachers, then miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, [divers] kinds of tongues.

Now this Hagar is mount Sinai in Arabia and answereth to the Jerusalem that now is: for she is in bondage with her children.

One of themselves, a prophet of their own, said, Cretans are always liars, evil beasts, idle gluttons.
