thorns also and thistles shall it bring forth to thee; and thou shalt eat the herb of the field;

And again she bare his brother Abel. And Abel was a keeper of sheep, but Cain was a tiller of the ground.

And what man is there that hath planted a vineyard, and hath not used the fruit thereof? let him go and return unto his house, lest he die in the battle, and another man use the fruit thereof.

The mouth of the righteous is a fountain of life; But violence covereth the mouth of the wicked.

I went by the field of the sluggard, And by the vineyard of the man void of understanding;

Look not upon me, because I am swarthy, Because the sun hath scorched me. My mother's sons were incensed against me; They made me keeper of the vineyards; [But] mine own vineyard have I not kept.

What soldier ever serveth at his own charges? who planteth a vineyard, and eateth not the fruit thereof? Or who feedeth a flock, and eateth not of the milk of the flock?
