then it shall be, in the day^H3117 that he causeth his sons^H1121 to inherit^H5157 that which he hath, that he may^H3201 not make the son^H1121 of the beloved^H157 the first-born^H1069 before^H6440 the son^H1121 of the hated,^H8130 who is the first-born:^H1060

And unto David^H1732 were sons^H1121 born^H3205 in Hebron:^H2275 and his first-born^H1060 was Amnon,^H550 of Ahinoam^H293 the Jezreelitess;^H3159

And he had seven^H7651 hundred^H3967 wives,^H802 princesses,^H8282 and three^H7969 hundred^H3967 concubines;^H6370 and his wives^H802 turned away^H5186 his heart.^H3820

And he dealt wisely,^H995 and dispersed^H6555 of all his sons^H1121 throughout all the lands^H776 of Judah^H3063 and Benjamin,^H1144 unto every fortified^H4694 city:^H5892 and he gave^H5414 them victuals^H4202 in abundance.^H7230 And he sought^H7592 [for them] many^H1995 wives.^H802
