And^G2532 there^G2400 cometh^G2064 one^G1520 of the rulers of the synagogue,^G752 Jairus^G2383 by name;^G3686 and^G2532 seeing^G1492 him,^G846 he falleth^G4098 at^G4314 his^G846 feet,^G4228

The law^G3551 and^G2532 the prophets^G4396 [were] until^G2193 John:^G2491 from^G575 that time^G5119 the gospel of the kingdom^G932 of God^G2316 is preached,^G2097 and^G2532 every man^G3956 entereth violently^G971 into^G1519 it.^G846

And^G2532 they were^G4130 all^G537 filled^G4130 with the^G4151 Holy^G40 Spirit,^G4151 and^G2532 began^G756 to speak with^G2980 other^G2087 tongues,^G1100 as^G2531 the Spirit^G4151 gave^G1325 them^G846 utterance.^G669

Now when^G1161 they heard^G191 [this,] they were pricked^G2660 in their heart,^G2588 and^G5037 said^G2036 unto^G4314 Peter^G4074 and^G2532 the rest^G3062 of the apostles,^{G652 G435} Brethren,^G80 what^G5101 shall we do?^G4160

For^G1063 they that dwell^G2730 in^G1722 Jerusalem,^G2419 and^G2532 their^G846 rulers,^G758 because they knew^G50 him^G5126 not,^G50 nor the^G2532 voices^G5456 of the prophets^G4396 which^G3588 are read^G314 every^{G3956 G2596} sabbath,^G4521 fulfilled^G4137 [them] by condemning^G2919 [him].

For^G1063 Moses^G3475 from generations^G1074 of^G1537 old^G744 hath^G2192 in every^G2596 city^G4172 them^G3588 that preach^G2784 him,^G846 being read^G314 in^G1722 the synagogues^G4864 every^G3956 sabbath.^G2596

And^G1161 they^G1672 all^G3956 laid hold^G1949 on Sosthenes,^G4988 the ruler of the synagogue,^G752 and beat^G5180 him before^G1715 the judgment-seat.^G968 And^G2532 Gallio^G1058 cared for^G3199 none^G3762 of these things.^G5130

^G435 Brethren^G80 and^G2532 fathers,^G3962 hear ye^G191 the^G3450 defence^G627 which I now^G3568 make unto^G4314 you.^G5209

But^G1161 he that^G3588 prophesieth^G4395 speaketh^G2980 unto men^G444 edification,^G3619 and^G2532 exhortation,^G3874 and^G2532 consolation.^G3889
