And the king^H4428 of Assyria^H804 hearkened^H8085 unto him; and the king^H4428 of Assyria^H804 went up^H5927 against Damascus,^H1834 and took^H8610 it, and carried [the people of] it captive^H1540 to Kir,^H7024 and slew^H4191 Rezin.^H7526

Thus saith^H559 Jehovah,^H3068 your Redeemer,^H1350 the Holy One^H6918 of Israel:^H3478 For your sake I have sent^H7971 to Babylon,^H894 and I will bring down^H3381 all of them^H1281 as fugitives, even the Chaldeans,^H3778 in the ships^H591 of their rejoicing.^H7440

The mighty men^H1368 of Babylon^H894 have forborne^H2308 to fight,^H3898 they remain^H3427 in their strongholds;^H4679 their might^H1369 hath failed;^H5405 they are become as women:^H802 her dwelling-places^H4908 are set on fire;^H3341 her bars^H1280 are broken.^H7665

The young men^H970 of Aven^H206 and of Pi-beseth^H6364 shall fall^H5307 by the sword;^H2719 and these [cities] shall go^H3212 into captivity.^H7628

but seek^H1875 not Beth-el,^H1008 nor enter^H935 into Gilgal,^H1537 and pass^H5674 not to Beer-sheba:^H884 for Gilgal^H1537 shall surely^H1540 go into captivity,^H1540 and Beth-el^H1008 shall come to nought.^H205

Behold, thy people^H5971 in the midst^H7130 of thee are women;^H802 the gates^H8179 of thy land^H776 are set wide^H6605 open^H6605 unto thine enemies:^H341 the fire^H784 hath devoured^H398 thy bars.^H1280
