because they obeyed^H8085 not the voice^H6963 of Jehovah^H3068 their God,^H430 but transgressed^H5674 his covenant,^H1285 even all that Moses^H4872 the servant^H5650 of Jehovah^H3068 commanded,^H6680 and would not hear^H8085 it, nor do^H6213 it.

to turn aside^H5186 the needy^H1800 from justice,^H1779 and to rob^H1497 the poor^H6041 of my people^H5971 of their right,^H4941 that widows^H490 may be their spoil,^H7998 and that they may make the fatherless^H3490 their prey!^H962

And Oholah^H170 played the harlot^H2181 when she was mine;^H8478 and she doted^H5689 on her lovers,^H157 on the Assyrians^H804 [her] neighbors,^H7138

Whoredom^H2184 and wine^H3196 and new wine^H8492 take away^H3947 the understanding.^H3820

They have set up kings,^H4427 but not by me; they have made princes,^H7786 and I knew^H3045 it not: of their silver^H3701 and their gold^H2091 have they made^H6213 them idols,^H6091 that they may be cut off.^H3772

and have cast^H3032 lots^H1486 for my people,^H5971 and have given^H5414 a boy^H3206 for a harlot,^H2181 and sold^H4376 a girl^H3207 for wine,^H3196 that they may drink.^H8354

Forasmuch^H3282 therefore as ye trample^H1318 upon the poor,^H1800 and take^H3947 exactions^H4864 from him of wheat:^H1250 ye have built^H1129 houses^H1004 of hewn stone,^H1496 but ye shall not dwell^H3427 in them; ye have planted^H5193 pleasant^H2531 vineyards,^H3754 but ye shall not drink^H8354 the wine^H3196 thereof.

Hear^H8085 this, O ye that would swallow up^H7602 the needy,^H34 and cause^H7673 the poor^H6041 of the land^H776 to fail,^H7673

ye who hate^H8130 the good,^H2896 and love^H157 the evil;^H7451 who pluck off^H1497 their skin^H5785 from off them, and their flesh^H7607 from off their bones;^H6106

whose possessors^H7069 slay^H2026 them, and hold themselves not guilty;^H816 and they that sell^H4376 them say,^H559 Blessed^H1288 be Jehovah,^H3068 for I am rich;^H6238 and their own shepherds^H7462 pity^H2550 them not.
