And Aaron^H175 said^H559 unto them, Break off^H6561 the golden^H2091 rings,^H5141 which are in the ears^H241 of your wives,^H802 of your sons,^H1121 and of your daughters,^H1323 and bring^H935 them unto me.

But thus shall ye deal^H6213 with them: ye shall break down^H7665 their altars,^H4196 and dash^H7665 in pieces their pillars,^H4676 and hew down^H1438 their Asherim,^H842 and burn^H8313 their graven images^H6456 with fire.^H784

So Joshua^H3091 made^H3772 a covenant^H1285 with the people^H5971 that day,^H3117 and set^H7760 them a statute^H2706 and an ordinance^H4941 in Shechem.^H7927

And Gideon^H1439 said^H559 unto them, I would make^H7592 a request^H7596 of you, that ye would give^H5414 me every man^H376 the ear-rings^H5141 of his spoil.^H7998 (For they had golden^H2091 ear-rings,^H5141 because they were Ishmaelites.)^H3459
