And Abraham^H85 said^H559 unto his servant,^H5650 the elder^H2205 of his house,^H1004 that ruled over^H4910 all that he had, Put,^H7760 I pray thee, thy hand^H3027 under my thigh:^H3409

And Jacob^H3290 said^H559 unto Pharaoh,^H6547 The days^H3117 of the years^H8141 of my pilgrimage^H4033 are a hundred^H3967 and thirty^H7970 years:^H8141 few^H4592 and evil^H7451 have been the days^H3117 of the years^H8141 of my life,^H2416 and they have not attained^H5381 unto the days^H3117 of the years^H8141 of the life^H2416 of my fathers^H1 in the days^H3117 of their pilgrimage.^H4033

My father^H1 made me swear,^H7650 saying,^H559 Lo,^H2009 I die:^H4191 in my grave^H6913 which I have digged^H3738 for me in the land^H776 of Canaan,^H3667 there shalt thou bury me.^H6912 Now therefore let me go up,^H5927 I pray thee, and bury^H6912 my father,^H1 and I will come again.^H7725

And Joseph^H3130 said^H559 unto his brethren,^H251 I die;^H4191 but God^H430 will surely^H6485 visit^H6485 you, and bring you up out^H5927 of this land^H776 unto the land^H776 which he sware^H7650 to Abraham,^H85 to Isaac,^H3327 and to Jacob.^H3290

And Jehovah^H3068 said^H559 unto Moses,^H4872 Behold, thou shalt sleep^H7901 with thy fathers;^H1 and this people^H5971 will rise up,^H6965 and play the harlot^H2181 after^H310 the strange^H5236 gods^H430 of the land,^H776 whither they go^H935 to be among^H7130 them, and will forsake^H5800 me, and break^H6565 my covenant^H1285 which I have made^H3772 with them.

And, behold, this day^H3117 I am going^H1980 the way^H1870 of all the earth:^H776 and ye know^H3045 in all your hearts^H3824 and in all your souls,^H5315 that not one^H259 thing^H1697 hath failed^H5307 of all the good^H2896 things^H1697 which Jehovah^H3068 your God^H430 spake^H1696 concerning you; all are come to pass^H935 unto you, not one^H259 thing^H1697 hath failed^H5307 thereof.

For we must needs^H4191 die,^H4191 and are as water^H4325 spilt^H5064 on the ground,^H776 which cannot be gathered up again;^H622 neither doth God^H430 take away^H5375 life,^H5315 but deviseth^H2803 means,^H4284 that he that is banished^H5080 be not an outcast^H5080 from him.

Is there not a warfare to man^H582 upon earth?^H776 And are not his days^H3117 like the days^H3117 of a hireling?^H7916

For I know^H3045 that thou wilt bring^H7725 me to death,^H4194 And to the house^H1004 appointed^H4150 for all living.^H2416

None [of them] can^H376 by any means^H6299 redeem^H6299 his brother,^H251 Nor give^H5414 to God^H430 a ransom^H3724 for him;

What man^H1397 is he that shall live^H2421 and not see^H7200 death,^H4194 That shall deliver^H4422 his soul^H5315 from the power^H3027 of Sheol?^{H7585 H5542}

And^{G2532 G2596} inasmuch as^G3745 it is appointed^G606 unto men^G444 once^G530 to die,^G599 and^G1161 after^G3326 this^G5124 [cometh] judgment;^G2920
