And he said^H559 unto Abram,^H87 Know^H3045 of a surety^H3045 that thy seed^H2233 shall be sojourners^H1616 in a land^H776 that is not theirs, and shall serve^H5647 them; and they shall afflict^H6031 them four^H702 hundred^H3967 years;^H8141

and thou shalt dwell^H3427 in the land^H776 of Goshen,^H1657 and thou shalt be near^H7138 unto me, thou, and thy children,^H1121 and thy children's^H1121 children,^H1121 and thy flocks,^H6629 and thy herds,^H1241 and all that thou hast:

And thou shalt answer^H6030 and say^H559 before^H6440 Jehovah^H3068 thy God,^H430 A Syrian^H761 ready to perish^H6 was my father;^H1 and he went down^H3381 into Egypt,^H4714 and sojourned^H1481 there, few^H4592 in^H4962 number; and he became there a nation,^H1471 great,^H1419 mighty,^H6099 and populous.^H7227

For thus saith^H559 the Lord^H136 Jehovah,^H136 My people^H5971 went down^H3381 at the first^H7223 into Egypt^H4714 to sojourn^H1481 there: and the Assyrian^H804 hath oppressed^H6231 them without cause.^H657
