And Elijah^H452 the Tishbite,^H8664 who was of the sojourners^H8453 of Gilead,^H1568 said^H559 unto Ahab,^H256 As Jehovah,^H3068 the God^H430 of Israel,^H3478 liveth,^H2416 before^H6440 whom I stand,^H5975 there shall not be dew^H2919 nor rain^H4306 these years,^H8141 but according^H6310 to my word.^H1697

Now therefore send,^H7971 and gather^H6908 to me all Israel^H3478 unto mount^H2022 Carmel,^H3760 and the prophets^H5030 of Baal^H1168 four^H702 hundred^H3967 and fifty,^H2572 and the prophets^H5030 of the Asherah^H842 four^H702 hundred,^H3967 that eat^H398 at Jezebel's^H348 table.^H7979

Then the king^H4428 of Israel^H3478 gathered^H6908 the prophets^H5030 together,^H6908 about four^H702 hundred^H3967 men,^H376 and said^H559 unto them, Shall I go^H3212 against Ramoth-gilead^H7433 to battle,^H4421 or shall I forbear?^H2308 And they said,^H559 Go up;^H5927 for the Lord^H136 will deliver^H5414 it into the hand^H3027 of the king.^H4428

And Jehovah^H3068 said^H559 unto him, Wherewith? And he said,^H559 I will go forth,^H3318 and will be a lying^H8267 spirit^H7307 in the mouth^H6310 of all his prophets.^H5030 And he said,^H559 Thou shalt entice^H6601 him, and shalt prevail^H3201 also: go forth,^H3318 and do^H6213 so.

And he took^H3947 the mantle^H155 of Elijah^H452 that fell^H5307 from him, and smote^H5221 the waters,^H4325 and said,^H559 Where is Jehovah,^H3068 the God^H430 of Elijah?^H452 and when he also had smitten^H5221 the waters,^H4325 they were divided^H2673 hither and thither; and Elisha^H477 went over.^H5674

But now bring^H3947 me a minstrel.^H5059 And it came to pass, when the minstrel^H5059 played,^H5059 that the hand^H3027 of Jehovah^H3068 came upon him.

He went in^H935 therefore, and shut^H5462 the door^H1817 upon them twain,^H8147 and prayed^H6419 unto Jehovah.^H3068

And his servant^H8334 said,^H559 What, should I set^H5414 this before^H6440 a hundred^H3967 men?^H376 But he said,^H559 Give^H5414 the people,^H5971 that they may eat;^H398 for thus saith^H559 Jehovah,^H3068 They shall eat,^H398 and shall leave^H3498 thereof.

The leprosy^H6883 therefore of Naaman^H5283 shall cleave^H1692 unto thee, and unto thy seed^H2233 for ever.^H5769 And he went out^H3318 from his presence^H6440 a leper^H6879 [as white] as snow.^H7950

Then the captain^H7991 on whose hand^H3027 the king^H4428 leaned^H8172 answered^H6030 the man^H376 of God,^H430 and said,^H559 Behold, if Jehovah^H3068 should make^H6213 windows^H699 in heaven,^H8064 might this thing^H1697 be? And he said,^H559 Behold, thou shalt see^H7200 it with thine eyes,^H5869 but shalt not eat^H398 thereof.

And it came to pass, as they were burying^H6912 a man,^H376 that, behold, they spied^H7200 a band;^H1416 and they cast^H7993 the man^H376 into the sepulchre^H6913 of Elisha:^H477 and as soon^H3212 as the man^H376 touched^H5060 the bones^H6106 of Elisha,^H477 he revived,^H2421 and stood up^H6965 on his feet.^H7272

I have set^H6485 watchmen^H8104 upon thy walls,^H2346 O Jerusalem;^H3389 they shall never^H8548 hold their peace^H2814 day^H3117 nor night:^H3915 ye that are Jehovah's^H3068 remembrancers,^H2142 take ye no rest,^H1824

And I set^H6965 watchmen^H6822 over you, [saying], Hearken^H7181 to the sound^H6963 of the trumpet;^H7782 but they said,^H559 We will not hearken.^H7181

Then said^H559 I, Ah,^H162 Lord^H136 Jehovah!^H3069 behold, the prophets^H5030 say^H559 unto them, Ye shall not see^H7200 the sword,^H2719 neither shall ye have famine;^H7458 but I will give^H5414 you assured^H571 peace^H7965 in this place.^H4725

Thy prophets^H5030 have seen^H2372 for thee false^H7723 and foolish visions;^H8602 And they have not uncovered^H1540 thine iniquity,^H5771 to bring back^H7725 thy captivity,^H7622 But have seen^H2372 for thee false^H7723 oracles^H4864 and causes of banishment.^H4065

Son^H1121 of man,^H120 I have made^H5414 thee a watchman^H6822 unto the house^H1004 of Israel:^H3478 therefore hear^H8085 the word^H1697 at my mouth,^H6310 and give them warning^H2094 from me.

Hear^H8085 this, O ye priests,^H3548 and hearken,^H7181 O house^H1004 of Israel,^H3478 and give ear,^H238 O house^H1004 of the king;^H4428 for unto you pertaineth the judgment;^H4941 for ye have been a snare^H6341 at Mizpah,^H4709 and a net^H7568 spread^H6566 upon Tabor.^H8396

If^G1487 I had^G4160 not^G3361 done^G4160 among^G1722 them^G846 the works^G2041 which^G3739 none^G3762 other^G243 did,^G4160 they had^G2192 not^G3756 had^G2192 sin:^G266 but^G1161 now^G3568 have they^G3708 both^G2532 seen^G3708 and^G2532 hated^G3404 both^G2532 me^G1691 and^G2532 my^G3450 Father.^G3962

Obey^G3982 them that have the rule over^G2233 you,^G5216 and^G2532 submit^G5226 [to them]: for^G1063 they^G846 watch^G69 in behalf^G5228 of your^G5216 souls,^G5590 as^G5613 they that shall give^G591 account;^G3056 that^G2443 they may do^G4160 this^G5124 with^G3326 joy,^G5479 and^G2532 not^G3361 with grief:^G4727 for^G1063 this^G5124 [were] unprofitable^G255 for you.^G5213
