and thou take^H3947 of their daughters^H1323 unto thy sons,^H1121 and their daughters^H1323 play the harlot^H2181 after^H310 their gods,^H430 and make^H2181 thy sons^H1121 play the harlot^H2181 after^H310 their gods.^H430

And the soul^H5315 that turneth^H6437 unto^H413 them that have familiar spirits,^H178 and unto^H310 the wizards,^H3049 to play the harlot^H2181 after^H310 them, I will even set^H5414 my face^H6440 against that soul,^H5315 and will cut him off^H3772 from among^H7130 his people.^H5971

And Israel^H3478 abode^H3427 in Shittim;^H7851 and the people^H5971 began^H2490 to play the harlot^H2181 with the daughters^H1323 of Moab:^H4124

For these nations,^H1471 that thou shalt dispossess,^H3423 hearken^H8085 unto them that practise augury,^H6049 and unto diviners;^H7080 but as for thee, Jehovah^H3068 thy God^H430 hath not suffered^H5414 thee so to do.

And Jehovah^H3068 said^H559 unto Moses,^H4872 Behold, thou shalt sleep^H7901 with thy fathers;^H1 and this people^H5971 will rise up,^H6965 and play the harlot^H2181 after^H310 the strange^H5236 gods^H430 of the land,^H776 whither they go^H935 to be among^H7130 them, and will forsake^H5800 me, and break^H6565 my covenant^H1285 which I have made^H3772 with them.

And the Philistines^H6430 called^H7121 for the priests^H3548 and the diviners,^H7080 saying,^H559 What shall we do^H6213 with the ark^H727 of Jehovah?^H3068 show^H3045 us wherewith we shall send^H7971 it to its place.^H4725

My son,^H1121 if thou art become surety^H6148 for thy neighbor,^H7453 If thou hast stricken^H8628 thy hands^H3709 for a stranger;^H2114

Stand^H5975 now with thine enchantments,^H2267 and with the multitude^H7230 of thy sorceries,^H3785 wherein^H834 thou hast labored^H3021 from thy youth;^H5271 if so be thou shalt be able^H3201 to profit,^H3276 if so be thou mayest prevail.^H6206

Wherefore dost thou forget^H7911 us for ever,^H5331 [And] forsake^H5800 us so long^H753 time?^H3117

I say^G3004 then,^G3361 Did^G683 God^G2316 cast off^G683 his^G846 people?^G3361 God forbid.^G1096 For^G1063 I^G1473 also^G2532 am^G1510 an Israelite,^G2475 of^G1537 the seed^G4690 of Abraham,^G11 of the tribe^G5443 of Benjamin.^G958
