So Sennacherib^H5576 king^H4428 of Assyria^H804 departed,^H5265 and went^H3212 and returned,^H7725 and dwelt^H3427 at Nineveh.^H5210

And they spake^H1696 of^H5921 the God^H430 of Jerusalem,^H3389 as of the gods^H430 of the peoples^H5971 of the earth,^H776 which are the work^H4639 of men's^H120 hands.^H3027

then they drew^H5066 near to Zerubbabel,^H2216 and to the heads^H7218 of fathers'^H1 [houses], and said^H559 unto them, Let us build^H1129 with you; for we seek^H1875 your God,^H430 as ye do; and we sacrifice^H2076 unto him since the days^H3117 of Esar-haddon^H634 king^H4428 of Assyria,^H804 who brought us up hither.^H5927

How art thou fallen^H5307 from heaven,^H8064 O day-star,^H1966 son^H1121 of the morning!^H7837 how art thou cut down^H1438 to the ground,^H776 that didst lay low^H2522 the nations!^H1471

Beware lest Hezekiah^H2396 persuade^H5496 you, saying,^H559 Jehovah^H3068 will deliver^H5337 us. Hath any^H376 of the gods^H430 of the nations^H1471 delivered^H5337 his land^H776 out of the hand^H3027 of the king^H4428 of Assyria?^H804

Thus shall ye speak^H559 to Hezekiah^H2396 king^H4428 of Judah,^H3063 saying,^H559 Let not thy God^H430 in whom thou trustest^H982 deceive^H5377 thee, saying,^H559 Jerusalem^H3389 shall not be given^H5414 into the hand^H3027 of the king^H4428 of Assyria.^H804
