And now, [though] thou wouldest needs^H1980 be gone,^H1980 because thou sore^H3700 longedst^H3700 after thy father's^H1 house,^H1004 [yet] wherefore hast thou stolen^H1589 my gods?^H430

Then Jacob^H3290 said^H559 unto his household,^H1004 and to all that were with him, Put away^H5493 the foreign^H5236 gods^H430 that are among you,^H8432 and purify^H2891 yourselves, and change^H2498 your garments:^H8071

Lest ye corrupt^H7843 yourselves, and make^H6213 you a graven image^H6459 in the form^H8544 of any figure,^H5566 the likeness^H8403 of male^H2145 or female,^H5347

Cursed^H779 be the man^H376 that maketh^H6213 a graven^H6459 or molten image,^H4541 an abomination^H8441 unto Jehovah,^H3068 the work^H4639 of the hands^H3027 of the craftsman,^H2796 and setteth^H7760 it up in secret.^H5643 And all the people^H5971 shall answer^H6030 and say,^H559 Amen.^H543

And he said,^H559 ye have taken away^H3947 my gods^H430 which I made,^H6213 and the priest,^H3548 and are gone away,^H3212 and what have I more? and how then say^H559 ye unto me, What aileth thee?

So the carpenter^H2796 encourageth^H2388 the goldsmith,^H6884 [and] he that smootheth^H2505 with the hammer^H6360 him that smiteth^H1986 the anvil,^H6471 saying^H559 of the soldering,^H1694 It is good;^H2896 and he fasteneth^H2388 it with nails,^H4548 that it should not be moved.^H4131

Being^G5225 then^G3767 the offspring^G1085 of God,^G2316 we ought^G3784 not^G3756 to think that^G3543 the Godhead^G2304 is^G1511 like unto^G3664 gold,^G5557 or^G2228 silver,^G696 or^G2228 stone,^G3037 graven^G5480 by art^G5078 and^G2532 device^G1761 of man.^G444
