If I whet^H8150 my glittering^H1300 sword,^H2719 And my hand^H3027 take hold^H270 on judgment;^H4941 I will render^H7725 vengeance^H5359 to mine adversaries,^H6862 And will recompense^H7999 them that hate^H8130 me.

O daughter^H1323 of Babylon,^H894 that art to be destroyed,^H7703 Happy^H835 shall he be, that rewardeth^H7999 thee As thou hast served^H1580 us.

Come near,^H7126 ye nations,^H1471 to hear;^H8085 and hearken,^H7181 ye peoples:^H3816 let the earth^H776 hear,^H8085 and the fulness thereof;^H4393 the world,^H8398 and all things that come forth^H6631 from it.

And he put on^H3847 righteousness^H6666 as a breastplate,^H8302 and a helmet^H3553 of salvation^H3444 upon his head;^H7218 and he put on^H3847 garments^H899 of vengeance^H5359 for clothing,^H8516 and was clad^H5844 with zeal^H7068 as a mantle.^H4598

And if thou say^H559 in thy heart,^H3824 Wherefore are these things come^H7122 upon me? for the greatness^H7230 of thine iniquity^H5771 are thy skirts^H7757 uncovered,^H1540 and thy heels^H6119 suffer violence.^H2554

Slay^H2717 all her bullocks;^H6499 let them go down^H3381 to the slaughter:^H2874 woe^H1945 unto them! for their day^H3117 is come,^H935 the time^H6256 of their visitation.^H6486

Make sharp^H1305 the arrows;^H2671 hold firm^H4390 the shields:^H7982 Jehovah^H3068 hath stirred up^H5782 the spirit^H7307 of the kings^H4428 of the Medes;^H4074 because his purpose^H4209 is against Babylon,^H894 to destroy^H7843 it: for it is the vengeance^H5360 of Jehovah,^H3068 the vengeance^H5360 of his temple.^H1964

Nebuchadrezzar^H5019 the king^H4428 of Babylon^H894 hath devoured^H398 me, he hath crushed^H2000 me, he hath made^H3322 me an empty^H7385 vessel,^H3627 he hath, like a monster,^H8577 swallowed me up,^H1104 he hath filled^H4390 his maw^H3770 with my delicacies;^H5730 he hath cast me out.^H1740

therefore behold, I will gather^H6908 all thy lovers,^H157 with whom thou hast taken pleasure,^H6149 and all them that thou hast loved,^H157 with all them that thou hast hated;^H8130 I will even gather^H6908 them against thee on every side,^H5439 and will uncover^H1540 thy nakedness^H6172 unto them, that they may see^H7200 all thy nakedness.^H6172

Avenge^G1556 not^G3361 yourselves,^G1438 beloved,^G27 but^G235 give^G1325 place^G5117 unto the wrath^G3709 [of God]: for^G1063 it is written,^G1125 Vengeance^G1557 belongeth unto me;^G1698 I^G1473 will recompense,^G467 saith^G3004 the Lord.^G2962
