Since the days^H3117 of our fathers^H1 we have been exceedingly^H1419 guilty^H819 unto this day;^H3117 and for our iniquities^H5771 have we, our kings,^H4428 and our priests,^H3548 been delivered^H5414 into the hand^H3027 of the kings^H4428 of the lands,^H776 to the sword,^H2719 to captivity,^H7628 and to plunder,^H961 and to confusion^H1322 of face,^H6440 as it is this day.^H3117

For the Chief Musician; after the manner of Jeduthun. A Psalm of David. My soul^H5315 waiteth^H1747 in silence for God^H430 only: From him [cometh] my salvation.^H3444

I wait^H6960 for Jehovah,^H3068 my soul^H5315 doth wait,^H6960 And in his word^H1697 do I hope.^H3176

And therefore will Jehovah^H3068 wait,^H2442 that he may be gracious^H2603 unto you; and therefore will he be exalted,^H7311 that he may have mercy^H7355 upon you: for Jehovah^H3068 is a God^H430 of justice;^H4941 blessed^H835 are all they that wait^H2442 for him.

Jehovah^H3068 is good^H2896 unto them that wait^H6960 for him, to the soul^H5315 that seeketh^H1875 him.

O Lord,^H136 to us belongeth confusion^H1322 of face,^H6440 to our kings,^H4428 to our princes,^H8269 and to our fathers,^H1 because we have sinned^H2398 against thee.

They are all hot^H2552 as an oven,^H8574 and devour^H398 their judges;^H8199 all their kings^H4428 are fallen:^H5307 there is none among them that calleth^H7121 unto me.

Then^G5119 shall^G2046 the King^G935 say^G2046 unto them^G3588 on^G1537 his^G846 right hand,^G1188 Come, ye^G1205 blessed^G2127 of^G3962 my^G3450 Father,^G3962 inherit^G2816 the kingdom^G932 prepared^G2090 for you^G5213 from^G575 the foundation^G2602 of the world:^G2889

And^G2532 if^G1437 I go^G4198 and^G2532 prepare^G2090 a place^G5117 for you,^G5213 I come^G2064 again,^G3825 and^G2532 will receive^G3880 you^G5209 unto^G4314 myself;^G1683 that^G2443 where^G3699 I^G1473 am,^G1510 [there] ye^G5210 may be^G5600 also.^G2532

And^G1161 not^G3756 only^G3440 so, but^G235 ourselves^G846 also,^G2532 who have^G2192 the first-fruits^G536 of the Spirit,^G4151 even^G2532 we^G2249 ourselves^G846 groan^G4727 within^G1722 ourselves,^G1438 waiting for^G553 [our] adoption,^G5206 [to wit], the redemption^G629 of^G4983 our^G2257 body.^G4983

but^G235 as^G2531 it is written,^G1125 Things which ^G3739 eye^G3788 saw^G1492 not,^G3756 and^{G2532 G3756} ear^G3775 heard^G191 not, And^G2532 [which] entered^G305 not^G3756 into^G1909 the heart^G2588 of man,^G444 Whatsoever^G3739 things God^G2316 prepared^G2090 for them^G3588 that love^G25 him.^G846

that^G3588 Christ^G5547 may dwell^G2730 in^G1722 your^G5216 hearts^G2588 through^G1223 faith;^G4102 to the end that ye, being rooted^G4492 and^G2532 grounded^G2311 in^G1722 love,^G26

and^G2532 to wait for^G362 his^G846 Son^G5207 from^G1537 heaven,^G3772 whom^G3739 he raised^G1453 from^G1537 the dead,^G3498 [even] Jesus,^G2424 who^G3588 delivereth^G4506 us^G2248 from^G575 the wrath^G3709 to come.^G2064

But^G1161 now^G3570 they desire^G3713 a better^G2909 [country], that^G5124 is,^G2076 a heavenly:^G2032 wherefore^G1352 God^G2316 is^G1870 not^G3756 ashamed^G1870 of them,^G846 to be called^G1941 their^G846 God;^G2316 for^G1063 he hath prepared^G2090 for them^G846 a city.^G4172

Behold^G1492 what manner of^G4217 love^G26 the Father^G3962 hath bestowed^G1325 upon us,^G2254 that^G2443 we should be called^G2564 children^G5043 of God;^G2316 and [such] we are. For this^G1223 cause^G5124 the world^G2889 knoweth^G1097 us^G2248 not,^G3756 because^G3754 it knew^G1097 him^G846 not.^G3756

And^G2532 I saw^G1492 a new^G2537 heaven^G3772 and^G2532 a new^G2537 earth:^G1093 for^G1063 the first^G4413 heaven^G3772 and^G2532 the first^G4413 earth^G1093 are passed away;^G3928 and^G2532 the sea^G2281 is^G2076 no^G3756 more.^G2089

And^G2532 he showed^G1166 me^G3427 a ^G2513 river^G4215 of water^G5204 of life,^G2222 bright^G2986 as^G5613 crystal,^G2930 proceeding^G1607 out of^G1537 the throne^G2362 of God^G2316 and^G2532 of the Lamb,^G721
