And the ass^H860 saw^H7200 the angel^H4397 of Jehovah,^H3068 and she lay down^H7257 under Balaam:^H1109 and Balaam's^H1109 anger^H639 was kindled,^H2734 and he smote^H5221 the ass^H860 with his staff.^H4731

And all the people^H5971 went their way^H3212 to eat,^H398 and to drink,^H8354 and to send^H7971 portions,^H4490 and to make^H6213 great^H1419 mirth,^H8057 because they had understood^H995 the words^H1697 that were declared^H3045 unto them.

And they stood up^H6965 in their place,^H5977 and read^H7121 in the book^H5612 of the law^H8451 of Jehovah^H3068 their God^H430 a fourth part^H7243 of the day;^H3117 and [another] fourth part^H7243 they confessed,^H3034 and worshipped^H7812 Jehovah^H3068 their God.^H430

And shall I wait,^H3176 because they speak^H1696 not, Because they stand still,^H5975 and answer^H6030 no more?

In the multitude^H7230 of words^H1697 there wanteth^H2308 not transgression;^H6588 But he that refraineth^H2820 his lips^H8193 doeth wisely.^H7919

He that is soon^H7116 angry^H639 will deal^H6213 foolishly;^H200 And a man^H376 of wicked devices^H4209 is hated.^H8130

The tongue^H3956 of the wise^H2450 uttereth knowledge^H1847 aright;^H3190 But the mouth^H6310 of fools^H3684 poureth out^H5042 folly.^H200

He that is slow^H750 to anger^H639 is better^H2896 than the mighty;^H1368 And he that ruleth^H4910 his spirit,^H7307 than he that taketh^H3920 a city.^H5892

He that spareth^H2820 his words^H561 hath^H3045 knowledge;^H1847 And he that is of a cool^H3368 spirit^H7307 is a man^H376 of understanding.^H8394

Death^H4194 and life^H2416 are in the power^H3027 of the tongue;^H3956 And they that love^H157 it shall eat^H398 the fruit^H6529 thereof.

A man^H1419 of great^H1632 wrath^H2534 shall bear^H5375 the penalty;^H6066 For if thou deliver^H5337 [him], thou must do it yet again.^H3254

He^H376 whose spirit^H7307 is without restraint^H4623 Is [like] a city^H5892 that is broken down^H6555 and without walls.^H2346

Better^H2896 is the end^H319 of a thing^H1697 than the beginning^H7225 thereof; [and] the patient^H750 in spirit^H7307 is better^H2896 than the proud^H1362 in spirit.^H7307

And^{G2532 G2112} many^G4183 were gathered together,^G4863 so that^G5620 there was no longer^G5562 room^G3371 [for them], no, not even^G3366 about^G4314 the door:^G2374 and^G2532 he spake^G2980 the word^G3056 unto them.^G846

Now^G1161 all^G3956 the publicans^G5057 and^G2532 sinners^G268 were drawing^G2258 near^G1448 unto him^G846 to hear^G191 him.^G846

And^{G1161 G2258} they continued stedfastly^G4342 in^G1322 the apostles'^G652 teaching^G1322 and^G2532 fellowship,^G2842 in^G2532 the breaking^G2800 of bread^G740 and^G2532 the prayers.^G4335

And^G1161 as they went out,^G1826 they besought^G3870 that these^G5023 words^G4487 might be spoken^G2980 to them^{G846 G1519} the next^G3342 sabbath.^G4521

Now these^G3778 were^G2258 more noble^G2104 than those^G3588 in^G1722 Thessalonica,^G2332 in that^G3748 they received^G1209 the word^G3056 with^G3326 all^G3956 readiness of the mind,^G4288 examining^G350 the Scriptures^{G1124 G2596} daily,^G2250 whether^G1487 these things^G5023 were^G2192 so.^G3779

Be ye angry,^G3710 and^G2532 sin^G264 not:^G3361 let^G1931 not^G3361 the sun^G2246 go down^G1931 upon^G1909 your^G5216 wrath:^G3950

but^G1161 now^G3570 do ye^G5210 also^G2532 put them^G3956 all away:^G659 anger,^G3709 wrath,^G2372 malice,^G2549 railing,^G988 shameful speaking^G148 out of^G1537 your^G5216 mouth:^G4750

And for^G1223 this^G5124 cause^G1223 we^G2249 also^G2532 thank^G2168 God^G2316 without ceasing,^G89 that,^G3754 when ye received^G3880 from^G3844 us^G2257 the word^G3056 of the message, [even the word]^G3056 of God,^G2316 ye accepted^G1209 [it] not^G3756 [as] the word^G3056 of men,^G444 but,^G235 as^G2531 it is^G2076 in truth,^G230 the word^G3056 of God,^G2316 which^G3739 also^G2532 worketh^G1754 in^G1722 you^G5213 that^G3588 believe.^G4100

Be^G1096 not^G3361 many^G4183 [of you] teachers,^G1320 my^G3450 brethren,^G80 knowing^G1492 that^G3754 we shall receive^G2983 heavier^G3173 judgment.^G2917
