The heart^H3820 is deceitful^H6121 above all things, and it is exceedingly corrupt:^H605 who can know^H3045 it?

For^G1063 from within,^G2081 out^G1537 of the heart^G2588 of men,^G444 evil^G2556 thoughts^G1261 proceed,^G1607 fornications,^G4202 thefts,^G2829 murders,^G5408 adulteries,^G3430

For^G1063 when^G3753 we were^G1510 in^G1722 the flesh,^G4561 the sinful^G266 passions,^G3804 which were^G3588 through^G1223 the law,^G3551 wrought^G1754 in^G1722 our^G2257 members^G3196 to^G1519 bring forth fruit^G2592 unto death.^G2288

because^G1360 the mind^G5427 of the flesh^G4561 is enmity^G2189 against^G1519 God;^G2316 for^G1063 it is^G5293 not^G3756 subject^G5293 to the law^G3551 of God,^G2316 neither^G3761 indeed^G1063 can it be:^G1410

Put to death^G3499 therefore^G3767 your^G5216 members^G3196 which^G3588 are upon^G1909 the earth:^G1093 fornication,^G4202 uncleanness,^G167 passion,^G3806 evil^G2556 desire,^G1939 and^G2532 covetousness,^G4124 which^G3748 is^G2076 idolatry;^G1495

For^G1063 we^G2249 also^G2532 once^G4218 were^G1510 foolish,^G453 disobedient,^G545 deceived,^G4105 serving^G1398 divers^G4164 lusts^G1939 and^G2532 pleasures,^G2237 living^G1236 in^G1722 malice^G2549 and^G2532 envy,^G5355 hateful,^G4767 hating^G3404 one another.^G240

but^G1161 each man^G1538 is tempted,^G3985 when he is drawn away^G1828 by^G5259 his own^G2398 lust,^G1939 and^G2532 enticed.^G1185

Ye ask,^G154 and^G2532 receive^G2983 not,^G3756 because^G1360 ye ask^G154 amiss,^G2560 that^G2443 ye may spend^G1159 [it] in^G1722 your^G5216 pleasures.^G2237

Beloved,^G27 I beseech^G3870 you as^G5613 sojourners^G3941 and^G2532 pilgrims,^G3927 to abstain^G567 from fleshly^G4559 lusts,^G1939 which^G3748 war^G4754 against^G2596 the soul;^G5590

For,^G1063 uttering^G5350 great swelling^G5246 [words] of vanity,^G3153 they entice^G1185 in^G1722 the lusts^G1939 of the flesh,^G4561 by lasciviousness,^G766 those who are just^G3689 escaping^G668 from them that live^G390 in^G1722 error;^G4106

Love^G25 not^G3361 the world,^G2889 neither^G3366 the things^G3588 that are in^G1722 the world.^G2889 If^G1437 any man^G5100 love^G25 the world,^G2889 the love^G26 of^G1722 the Father^G3962 is^G2076 not^G3756 in^G2076 him.^G846
