And Jehovah^H3068 spake^H559 unto Moses,^H4872 saying,^H559

If thou turn away^H7725 thy foot^H7272 from the sabbath,^H7676 from doing^H6213 thy pleasure^H2656 on my holy^H6944 day;^H3117 and call^H7121 the sabbath^H7676 a delight,^H6027 [and] the holy^H6918 of Jehovah^H3068 honorable;^H3513 and shalt honor^H3513 it, not doing^H6213 thine own ways,^H1870 nor finding^H4672 thine own pleasure,^H2656 nor speaking^H1696 [thine own] words:^H1697

But if ye will not hearken^H8085 unto me to hallow^H6942 the sabbath^H7676 day,^H3117 and not to bear^H5375 a burden^H4853 and enter in^H935 at the gates^H8179 of Jerusalem^H3389 on the sabbath^H7676 day;^H3117 then will I kindle^H3341 a fire^H784 in the gates^H8179 thereof, and it shall devour^H398 the palaces^H759 of Jerusalem,^H3389 and it shall not be quenched.^H3518

And^G2532 the Pharisees^G5330 said^G3004 unto him,^G846 Behold,^G1492 why^G5101 do they^G4160 on^G1722 the sabbath day^G4521 that which^G3739 is^G1832 not^G3756 lawful?^G1832

But^G1161 certain^G5100 of the Pharisees^G5330 said,^G2036 Why^G5101 do ye^G4160 that which^G3739 it is^G1832 not^G3756 lawful^G1832 to do^G4160 on^G1722 the sabbath day?^G4521

And^G1161 they returned,^G5290 and prepared^G2090 spices^G759 and^G2532 ointments.^G3464 And^G2532 on the^G3303 sabbath they^G3303 rested^G2270 according to^G2596 the commandment.^G1785

If^G1487 a man^G444 receiveth^G2983 circumcision^G4061 on^G1722 the sabbath,^G4521 that^G2443 the law^G3551 of Moses^G3475 may^G3089 not^G3361 be broken;^G3089 are ye wroth^G5520 with me,^G1698 because^G3754 I made^G4160 a man^G444 every whit^G3650 whole^G5199 on^G1722 the sabbath?^G4521
