And Jehovah^H3068 appeared^H7200 unto Abram,^H87 and said,^H559 Unto thy seed^H2233 will I give^H5414 this^H2063 land:^H776 and there builded^H1129 he an altar^H4196 unto Jehovah,^H3068 who appeared^H7200 unto him.

And he said^H559 unto Abram,^H87 Know^H3045 of a surety^H3045 that thy seed^H2233 shall be sojourners^H1616 in a land^H776 that is not theirs, and shall serve^H5647 them; and they shall afflict^H6031 them four^H702 hundred^H3967 years;^H8141

and give^H5414 thee the blessing^H1293 of Abraham,^H85 to thee, and to thy seed^H2233 with thee; that thou mayest inherit^H3423 the land^H776 of thy sojournings,^H4033 which God^H430 gave^H5414 unto Abraham.^H85

and I am come down^H3381 to deliver^H5337 them out of the hand^H3027 of the Egyptians,^H4714 and to bring^H5927 them up out of that land^H776 unto a good^H2896 land^H776 and a large,^H7342 unto a land^H776 flowing^H2100 with milk^H2461 and honey;^H1706 unto the place^H4725 of the Canaanite,^H3669 and the Hittite,^H2850 and the Amorite,^H567 and the Perizzite,^H6522 and the Hivite,^H2340 and the Jebusite.^H2983

Command^H6680 the children^H1121 of Israel,^H3478 and say^H559 unto them, When ye come^H935 into the land^H776 of Canaan^H3667 (this is the land^H776 that shall fall^H5307 unto you for an inheritance,^H5159 even the land^H776 of Canaan^H3667 according to the borders^H1367 thereof),

When Jehovah^H3068 thy God^H430 shall cut off^H3772 the nations^H1471 from before^H6440 thee, whither thou goest^H935 in to dispossess^H3423 them, and thou dispossessest^H3423 them, and dwellest^H3427 in their land;^H776

And Jehovah^H3068 said^H559 unto him, This is the land^H776 which I sware^H7650 unto Abraham,^H85 unto Isaac,^H3327 and unto Jacob,^H3290 saying,^H559 I will give^H5414 it unto thy seed:^H2233 I have caused thee to see^H7200 it with thine eyes,^H5869 but thou shalt not go over^H5674 thither.

Wilt not thou possess^H3423 that which Chemosh^H3645 thy god^H430 giveth thee to possess?^H3423 So whomsoever Jehovah^H3068 our God^H430 hath dispossessed^H3423 from before^H6440 us, them will we possess.^H3423

And they dwelt^H3427 therein, and have built^H1129 thee a sanctuary^H4720 therein for thy name,^H8034 saying,^H559

So the children^H1121 went in^H935 and possessed^H3423 the land,^H776 and thou subduedst^H3665 before^H6440 them the inhabitants^H3427 of the land,^H776 the Canaanites,^H3669 and gavest^H5414 them into their hands,^H3027 with their kings,^H4428 and the peoples^H5971 of the land,^H776 that they might do^H6213 with them as they would.^H7522

He drove out^H1644 the nations^H1471 also before^H6440 them, And allotted^H5307 them for an inheritance^H5159 by line,^H2256 And made the tribes^H7626 of Israel^H3478 to dwell^H7931 in their tents.^H168

Their enemies^H341 also oppressed^H3905 them, And they were brought into subjection^H3665 under their hand.^H3027
