And it came to pass in the course^H1992 of those many days,^H3117 that the king^H4428 of Egypt^H4714 died:^H4191 and the children^H1121 of Israel^H3478 sighed^H584 by reason of^H4480 the bondage,^H5656 and they cried,^H2199 and their cry^H7775 came up^H5927 unto God^H430 by reason of the bondage.^H5656

And they put away^H5493 the foreign^H5236 gods^H430 from among^H7130 them, and served^H5647 Jehovah;^H3068 and his soul^H5315 was grieved^H7114 for the misery^H5999 of Israel.^H3478

For his anger^H639 is but for a moment;^H7281 His favor^H7522 is for a life-time:^H2416 Weeping^H1065 may tarry^H3885 for the night,^H6153 But joy^H7440 [cometh] in the morning.^H1242

For as the heavens^H8064 are high above^H1361 the earth,^H776 So great^H1396 is his lovingkindness^H2617 toward them that fear^H3373 him.

And he remembered^H2142 for them his covenant,^H1285 And repented^H5162 according to the multitude^H7230 of his lovingkindnesses.^H2617

For a small^H6996 moment^H7281 have I forsaken^H5800 thee; but with great^H1419 mercies^H7356 will I gather^H6908 thee.

[ It is of] Jehovah's^H3068 lovingkindnesses^H2617 that we are not consumed,^H8552 because his compassions^H7356 fail^H3615 not.

And^G2532 he arose,^G450 and came^G2064 to^G4314 his^G1438 father.^G3962 But^G1161 while he^G846 was^G568 yet^G2089 afar off,^G3112 his^G846 father^G3962 saw^G1492 him,^G846 and^G2532 was moved with compassion,^G4697 and^G2532 ran,^G5143 and fell^G1968 on^G1909 his^G846 neck,^G5137 and^G2532 kissed^G2705 him.^G846
