And it shall be, when he shall be guilty^H816 in one^H259 of these [things], that he shall confess^H3034 that wherein he hath sinned:^H2398

then will I also walk^H1980 contrary^H7147 unto you; and I will smite^H5221 you, even^H1571 I, seven times^H7651 for your sins.^H2403

then he shall confess^H3034 his sin^H2403 which he hath done:^H6213 and he shall make restitution^H7725 for his guilt^H817 in full,^H7218 and add^H3254 unto it the fifth^H2549 part thereof, and give^H5414 it unto him in respect of whom he hath been guilty.^H816

And it shall come to pass, when all these things^H1697 are come^H935 upon thee, the blessing^H1293 and the curse,^H7045 which I have set^H5414 before^H6440 thee, and thou shalt call^H7725 them to mind^H3824 among all the nations,^H1471 whither Jehovah^H3068 thy God^H430 hath driven^H5080 thee,

And Joshua^H3091 said^H559 unto Achan,^H5912 My son,^H1121 give,^H7760 I pray thee, glory^H3519 to Jehovah,^H3068 the God^H430 of Israel,^H3478 and make^H5414 confession^H8426 unto him; and tell^H5046 me now what thou hast done;^H6213 hide^H3582 it not from me.

When thy people^H5971 Israel^H3478 are smitten down^H5062 before^H6440 the enemy,^H341 because they have sinned^H2398 against thee; if they turn again^H7725 to thee, and confess^H3034 thy name,^H8034 and pray^H6419 and make supplication^H2603 unto thee in this house:^H1004

if they return^H7725 unto thee with all their heart^H3824 and with all their soul^H5315 in the land^H776 of their enemies,^H341 who carried them captive,^H7617 and pray^H6419 unto thee toward^H1870 their land,^H776 which thou gavest^H5414 unto their fathers,^H1 the city^H5892 which thou hast chosen,^H977 and the house^H1004 which I have built^H1129 for thy name:^H8034

O Jehovah,^H3068 the God^H430 of Israel,^H3478 you are righteous;^H6662 for we are left a remnant^H7604 that is escaped,^H6413 as it is this day:^H3117 behold, we are before^H6440 you in our guiltiness;^H819 for none can stand^H5975 before^H6440 you because of this.

He singeth^H7789 before men,^H582 and saith,^H559 I have sinned,^H2398 and perverted^H5753 that which was right,^H3477 And it profited^H7737 me not:

He that covereth^H3680 his transgressions^H6588 shall not prosper:^H6743 But whoso confesseth^H3034 and forsaketh^H5800 them shall obtain mercy.^H7355

Only acknowledge^H3045 thine iniquity,^H5771 that thou hast transgressed^H6586 against Jehovah^H3068 thy God,^H430 and hast scattered^H6340 thy ways^H1870 to the strangers^H2114 under every green^H7488 tree,^H6086 and ye have not obeyed^H8085 my voice,^H6963 saith^H5002 Jehovah.^H3068

Behold,^H7200 O Jehovah;^H3068 for I am in distress;^H6887 my heart^H4578 is troubled;^H2560 My heart^H3820 is turned^H2015 within^H7130 me; for I have grievously^H4784 rebelled:^H4784 Abroad^H2351 the sword^H2719 bereaveth,^H7921 at home^H1004 there is as death.^H4194

Then shall ye remember^H2142 your evil^H7451 ways,^H1870 and your doings^H4611 that were not good;^H2896 and ye shall loathe^H6962 yourselves in your own sight^H6440 for your iniquities^H5771 and for your abominations.^H8441

And I prayed^H6419 unto Jehovah^H3068 my God,^H430 and made confession,^H3034 and said,^H559 Oh,^H577 Lord,^H136 the great^H1419 and dreadful^H3372 God,^H410 who keepeth^H8104 covenant^H1285 and lovingkindness^H2617 with them that love^H157 him and keep^H8104 his commandments,^H4687

I will arise^G450 and go^G4198 to^G4314 my^G3450 father,^G3962 and^G2532 will say^G2046 unto him,^G846 Father,^G3962 I have sinned^G264 against^G1519 heaven,^G3772 and^G2532 in thy^G4675 sight:^G1799
