And^G2532 when^G2064 he^G846 was come^G2064 into^G1519 the temple,^G2411 the chief priests^G749 and^G2532 the elders^G4245 of the people^G2992 came^G4334 unto him^G846 as he was teaching,^G1321 and said,^G3004 By^G1722 what^G4169 authority^G1849 doest thou^G4160 these things?^G5023 and^G2532 who^G5101 gave^G1325 thee^G4671 this^G3778 authority?^G1849

In^G1722 that hour^G5610 said^G2036 Jesus^G2424 to the multitudes,^G3793 Are ye come out^G1831 as^G5613 against^G1909 a robber^G3027 with^G3326 swords^G3162 and^G2532 staves^G3586 to seize^G4815 me?^G3165 I sat^G2516 daily^G2250 in^G1722 the temple^G2411 teaching,^G1321 and^G2532 ye took^G2902 me^G3165 not.^G3756

And^G2532 they come^G2064 again^G3825 to^G1519 Jerusalem:^G2414 and^G2532 as he^G846 was walking^G4043 in^G1722 the temple,^G2411 there come^G2064 to^G4314 him^G846 the chief priests,^G749 and^G2532 the scribes,^G1122 and^G2532 the elders;^G4245

Now after^G3326 two^G1417 days^G2250 was^G2258 [the feast of] the passover^G3957 and^G2532 the unleavened bread:^G106 and^G2532 the chief priests^G749 and^G2532 the scribes^G1122 sought^G2212 how^G4459 they might take^G2902 him^G846 with^G1722 subtlety,^G1388 and^G615 kill^G1161 him:

Did^G1325 not^G3756 Moses^G3475 give^G1325 you^G5213 the law,^G3551 and^G2532 [yet] none^G3762 of^G1537 you^G5216 doeth^G4160 the law?^G3551 Why^G5101 seek^G2212 ye to kill^G615 me?^G3165

I know^G1492 that^G3754 ye are^G2075 Abraham's^G11 seed:^G4690 yet^G235 ye seek^G2212 to kill^G615 me,^G3165 because^G3754 my^G1699 word^G3056 hath^G5562 not^G3756 free course^G5562 in^G1722 you.^G5213

So^G3767 from^G575 that^G1565 day^G2250 forth^G575 they took counsel^G4823 that^G2443 they might put^G615 him^G846 to death.^G615
