That they are as stubble^H8401 before^H6440 the wind,^H7307 And as chaff^H4671 that the storm^H5492 carrieth away?^H1589

Let them be as chaff^H4671 before^H6440 the wind,^H7307 And the angel^H4397 of Jehovah^H3068 driving^H1760 [them] on.

Therefore as the tongue of fire^H784 devoureth^H398 the stubble,^H7179 and as the dry grass^H2842 sinketh down^H7503 in the flame,^H3956 so their root^H8328 shall be as rottenness,^H4716 and their blossom^H6525 shall go up^H5927 as dust;^H80 because they have rejected^H3988 the law^H8451 of Jehovah^H3068 of hosts,^H6635 and despised^H5006 the word^H565 of the Holy One^H6918 of Israel.^H3478

Bread^H3899 [grain] is ground;^H1854 for he will not be always^H5331 threshing^H156 it: and though the wheel^H1536 of his cart^H5699 and his horses^H6571 scatter^H2000 it, he doth not grind^H1854 it.

Thou shalt winnow^H2219 them, and the wind^H7307 shall carry them away,^H5375 and the whirlwind^H5591 shall scatter^H6327 them; and thou shalt rejoice^H1523 in Jehovah,^H3068 thou shalt glory^H1984 in the Holy One^H6918 of Israel.^H3478

At that time^H6256 shall it be said^H559 to this people^H5971 and to Jerusalem,^H3389 A hot^H6703 wind^H7307 from the bare heights^H8205 in the wilderness^H4057 toward^H1870 the daughter^H1323 of my people,^H5971 not to winnow,^H2219 nor to cleanse;^H1305

And I have winnowed^H2219 them with a fan^H4214 in the gates^H8179 of the land;^H776 I have bereaved^H7921 [them] of children, I have destroyed^H6 my people;^H5971 they returned not from their ways.^H1870

And I will send^H7971 unto Babylon^H894 strangers,^H2114 that shall winnow^H2219 her; and they shall empty^H1238 her land:^H776 for in the day^H3117 of trouble^H7451 they shall be against her round about.^H5439

Therefore they shall be as the morning^H1242 cloud,^H6051 and as the dew^H2919 that passeth early^H7925 away,^H1980 as the chaff^H4671 that is driven with the whirlwind^H5590 out of the threshing-floor,^H1637 and as the smoke^H6227 out of the chimney.^H699

But who can abide^H3557 the day^H3117 of his coming?^H935 and who shall stand^H5975 when he appeareth?^H7200 for he is like a refiner's^H6884 fire,^H784 and like fuller's^H3526 soap:^H1287

Let^G863 both^G297 grow together^G4885 until^G3360 the harvest:^G2326 and^G2532 in^G1722 the time^G2540 of the harvest^G2326 I will say^G2046 to the reapers,^G2327 Gather up^G4816 first^G4412 the tares,^G2215 and^G2532 bind^G1210 them^G846 in^G1519 bundles^G1197 to^G4314 burn^G2618 them;^G846 but^G1161 gather^G4863 the wheat^G4621 into^G1519 my^G3450 barn.^G596

Then^G5119 shall^G1584 the righteous^G1342 shine forth^G1584 as^G5613 the sun^G2246 in^G1722 the kingdom^G932 of^G3962 their^G846 Father.^G3962 He that hath^G2192 ears,^G3775 let him hear.^G191

And if^G1437 thy^G4675 hand^G5495 cause thee^G4571 to stumble,^G4624 cut^G609 it^G846 off:^G609 it is^G2076 good^G2570 for thee^G4671 to enter^G1525 into^G1519 life^G2222 maimed,^G2948 rather than^G2228 having^G2192 thy two^G1417 hands^G5495 to go^G565 into^G1519 hell,^G1067 into^G1519 the unquenchable^G762 fire.^G4442

whose^G3739 fan^G4425 is in^G1722 his^G846 hand,^G5495 thoroughly to cleanse^G1245 his^G846 threshing-floor,^G257 and^G2532 to gather^G4863 the wheat^G4621 into^G1519 his^G846 garner;^G596 but^G1161 the chaff^G892 he will burn^G2618 up with unquenchable^G762 fire.^G4442
