For the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David. How long, O Jehovah?^H3068 wilt thou forget^H7911 me for ever?^H5331 How long wilt thou hide^H5641 thy face^H6440 from me?

When I kept silence,^H2790 my bones^H6106 wasted away^H1086 Through my groaning^H7581 all the day^H3117 long.

But I am poor^H6041 and sorrowful:^H3510 Let thy salvation,^H3444 O God,^H430 set me up on high.^H7682

They that sow^H2232 in tears^H1832 shall reap^H7114 in joy.^H7440

He hath swallowed up^H1104 death^H4194 for ever;^H5331 and the Lord^H136 Jehovah^H3069 will wipe away^H4229 tears^H1832 from off all faces;^H6440 and the reproach^H2781 of his people^H5971 will he take away^H5493 from off all the earth:^H776 for Jehovah^H3068 hath spoken^H1696 it.

and the ransomed^H6299 of Jehovah^H3068 shall return,^H7725 and come^H935 with singing^H7440 unto Zion;^H6726 and everlasting^H5769 joy^H8057 shall be upon their heads:^H7218 they shall obtain^H5381 gladness^H8342 and joy,^H8057 and sorrow^H3015 and sighing^H585 shall flee away.^H5127

to proclaim^H7121 the year^H8141 of Jehovah's^H3068 favor,^H7522 and the day^H3117 of vengeance^H5359 of our God;^H430 to comfort^H5162 all that mourn;^H57

They shall come^H935 with weeping;^H1065 and with supplications^H8469 will I lead^H2986 them: I will cause them to walk^H3212 by rivers^H5158 of waters,^H4325 in a straight^H3477 way^H1870 wherein they shall not stumble;^H3782 for I am a father^H1 to Israel,^H3478 and Ephraim^H669 is my first-born.^H1060

But those of them that escape^H6403 shall escape,^H6412 and shall be on the mountains^H2022 like doves^H3123 of the valleys,^H1516 all of them moaning,^H1993 every one^H376 in his iniquity.^H5771

And I will pour^H8210 upon the house^H1004 of David,^H1732 and upon the inhabitants^H3427 of Jerusalem,^H3389 the spirit^H7307 of grace^H2580 and of supplication;^H8469 and they shall look^H5027 unto me whom they have pierced;^H1856 and they shall mourn^H4553 for him, as one mourneth^H5594 for his only^H3173 son, and shall be in bitterness^H4843 for him, as one that is in bitterness^H4843 for his first-born.^H1060

Woe^G3759 unto you,^G5213 ye that are full^G1705 now! for^G3754 ye shall hunger.^G3983 Woe^G3759 [unto you],^G5213 ye that laugh^G1070 now!^G3568 for^G3754 ye shall mourn^G3996 and^G2532 weep.^G2799

And^G1161 he said^G2036 unto^G4314 the woman,^G1135 Thy^G4675 faith^G4102 hath saved^G4982 thee;^G4571 go^G4198 in^G1519 peace.^G1515

Verily,^G281 verily,^G281 I say^G3004 unto you,^G5213 that^G3754 ye^G5210 shall weep^G2799 and^G2532 lament,^G2354 but^G1161 the world^G2889 shall rejoice:^{G5463 G1161} ye^G5210 shall be sorrowful,^G3076 but^G235 your^G5216 sorrow^G3077 shall be turned^G1096 into^G1519 joy.^G5479

I now^G3568 rejoice,^G5463 not^G3756 that^G3754 ye were made sorry,^G3076 but^G235 that^G3754 ye were made sorry^G3076 unto^G1519 repentance;^G3341 for^G1063 ye were made sorry^G3076 after^G2596 a godly sort,^G2316 that^G2443 ye might suffer loss^G2210 by^G1537 us^G2257 in^G1722 nothing.^G3367

And^G2532 I say^G2046 unto him,^G846 My lord,^G2962 thou^G4771 knowest.^G1492 And^G2532 he said^G2036 to me,^G3427 These^G3778 are^G1526 they that come^G2064 out^G1537 of the great^G3173 tribulation,^G2347 and^G2532 they washed^G4150 their^G846 robes,^G4749 and^G2532 made^G3021 them^G846 white^G3021 in^G1722 the blood^G129 of the Lamb.^G4749
