Judah^H3063 is a lion's^H738 whelp;^H1482 From the prey,^H2964 my son,^H1121 thou art gone up:^H5927 He stooped down,^H3766 he couched^H7257 as a lion,^H3833 And as a lioness;^H3833 who shall rouse him up?^H6965

their roaring^H7581 shall be like a lioness,^H3833 they shall roar^H7580 like young lions;^H3715 yea, they shall roar,^H5098 and lay hold^H270 of the prey,^H2964 and carry it away safe,^H6403 and there shall be none to deliver.^H5337

For thus saith^H559 Jehovah^H3068 unto me, As the lion^H738 and the young lion^H3715 growling^H1897 over his prey,^H2964 if a multitude^H4393 of shepherds^H7462 be called forth^H7121 against him, will not be dismayed^H2865 at their voice,^H6963 nor abase^H6031 himself for the noise^H1995 of them: so will Jehovah^H3068 of hosts^H6635 come down^H3381 to fight^H6633 upon mount^H2022 Zion,^H6726 and upon the hill^H1389 thereof.

A lion^H738 is gone up^H5927 from his thicket,^H5441 and a destroyer^H7843 of nations;^H1471 he is on his way,^H5265 he is gone forth^H3318 from his place,^H4725 to make^H7760 thy land^H776 desolate,^H8047 that thy cities^H5892 be laid waste,^H5327 without inhabitant.^H3427

Behold, [the enemy] shall come up^H5927 like a lion^H738 from the pride^H1347 of the Jordan^H3383 against the strong^H386 habitation:^H5116 for I will suddenly^H7280 make^H7323 them run away^H7323 from it; and whoso is chosen,^H977 him will I appoint^H6485 over it: for who is like me? and who will appoint me a time?^H3259 and who is the shepherd^H7462 that can stand^H5975 before^H6440 me?

At their presence^H6440 the peoples^H5971 are in anguish;^H2342 all faces^H6440 are waxed^H6908 pale.^H6289
