For the Chief Musician. Maschil of the sons of Korah. As the hart^H354 panteth^H6165 after the water^H4325 brooks,^H650 So panteth^H6165 my soul^H5315 after thee, O God.^H430

My soul^H5315 followeth hard^H1692 after^H310 thee: Thy right hand^H3225 upholdeth^H8551 me.

For judgment^H4941 shall return^H7725 unto righteousness;^H6664 And all the upright^H3477 in heart^H3820 shall follow^H310 it.

Oh that^H305 my ways^H1870 were established^H3559 To observe^H8104 thy statutes!^H2706

Jehovah^H3068 will perfect^H1584 that which concerneth me: Thy lovingkindness,^H2617 O Jehovah,^H3068 [endureth] for ever;^H5769 Forsake^H7503 not the works^H4639 of thine own hands.^H3027

Hearken^H8085 to me, ye that follow after^H7291 righteousness,^H6664 ye that seek^H1245 Jehovah:^H3068 look^H5027 unto the rock^H6697 whence ye were hewn,^H2672 and to the hole^H4718 of the pit^H953 whence ye were digged.^H5365

And^G1161 as^G1722 he journeyed,^G4198 it came^G1096 to pass that he^G846 drew^G1096 nigh^G1448 unto Damascus:^G1154 and^G2532 suddenly^G1810 there shone round about^G4015 him^G846 a light^G5457 out of heaven:^G3772

For^G1063 the good^G18 which^G3739 I would^G2309 I do^G4160 not:^G3756 but^G235 the evil^G2556 which^G3739 I would^G2309 not,^G3756 that^G5124 I practise.^G4238

Having^G2192 therefore^G3767 these^G3778 promises,^G1860 beloved,^G27 let us cleanse^G2511 ourselves^G1438 from^G575 all^G3956 defilement^G3436 of flesh^G4561 and^G2532 spirit,^G4151 perfecting^G2005 holiness^G42 in^G1722 the fear^G5401 of God.^G2316

For^G1063 the flesh^G4561 lusteth^G1937 against^G2596 the Spirit,^G4151 and^G1161 the Spirit^G4151 against^G2596 the flesh;^G4561 for^G1161 these^G5023 are contrary^G480 the one to the other;^G240 that^G2443 ye^G4160 may not^G3361 do^G4160 the things^G5023 that^{G3739 G302} ye would.^G2309

for^G4314 the perfecting^G2677 of the saints,^G40 unto^G1519 the work^G2041 of ministering,^G1248 unto^G1519 the building^G3619 up of the body^G4983 of Christ:^G5547

only,^{G4133 G3739} whereunto^G1519 we have attained,^G5348 by that^G2583 same^G846 [rule]^G2583 let us^{G846 G5426} walk.^G4748

But^G1161 we^G2249 are bound^G3784 to give thanks^G2168 to God^G2316 always^G3842 for^G4012 you,^G5216 brethren^G80 beloved^G25 of^G5259 the Lord,^G2962 for that^G3754 God^{G2316 G138} chose^G138 you^G5209 from^G575 the beginning^G746 unto^G1519 salvation^G4991 in^G1722 sanctification^G38 of the Spirit^G4151 and^G2532 belief^G4102 of the truth:^G225

But^G1161 thou,^G4771 O^G5599 man^G444 of God,^G2316 flee^G5343 these things;^G5023 and^G1161 follow after^G1377 righteousness,^G1343 godliness,^G2150 faith,^G4102 love,^G26 patience,^G5281 meekness.^G4236

Follow^G1377 after peace^G1515 with^G3326 all^G3956 men, and^G2532 the sanctification^G38 without^G5565 which^G3739 no man^G3762 shall see^G3700 the Lord:^G2962

make^G2675 you^G5209 perfect^G2675 in^G1722 every^G3956 good^G18 thing^G2041 to^G1519 do^G4160 his^G846 will,^G2307 working^G4160 in^G1722 us^G5213 that which is well-pleasing^G2101 in^G1799 his^G846 sight,^G1799 through^G1223 Jesus^G2424 Christ;^G5547 to whom^G3739 [be] the glory^G1391 for^G1519 ever^G165 and ever.^G165 Amen.^G281

And let him turn away^G1578 from^G575 evil,^G2556 and^G2532 do^G4160 good;^G18 Let him seek^G2212 peace,^G1515 and^G2532 pursue^G1377 it.^G846

Yea,^G1161 and^G2532 for^G846 this^G5124 very cause adding^G2023 on your^G5216 part all^G3956 diligence,^G4710 in your^G5216 faith^G4102 supply^G3923 virtue;^G703 and^G1161 in^G1722 [your] virtue^G703 knowledge;^G1108
