therefore said^H559 I, Now will the Philistines^H6430 come down^H3381 upon me to Gilgal,^H1537 and I have not entreated^H2470 the favor of^H6440 Jehovah:^H3068 I forced^H662 myself therefore, and offered^H5927 the burnt-offering.^H5930

I will not reprove^H3198 thee for thy sacrifices;^H2077 And thy burnt-offerings^H5930 are continually^H8548 before me.

The sacrifice^H2077 of the wicked^H7563 is an abomination^H8441 to Jehovah;^H3068 But the prayer^H8605 of the upright^H3477 is his delight.^H7522

What^H4100 unto me is the multitude^H7230 of your sacrifices?^H2077 saith^H559 Jehovah:^H3068 I have had enough^H7646 of the burnt-offerings^H5930 of rams,^H352 and the fat^H2459 of fed beasts;^H4806 and I delight^H2654 not in the blood^H1818 of bullocks,^H6499 or of lambs,^H3532 or of he-goats.^H6260

To what purpose cometh^H935 there to me frankincense^H3828 from Sheba,^H7614 and the sweet^H2896 cane^H7070 from a far^H4801 country?^H776 your burnt-offerings^H5930 are not acceptable,^H7522 nor your sacrifices^H2077 pleasing^H6149 unto me.

I hate,^H8130 I despise^H3988 your feasts,^H2282 and I will take no delight^H7306 in your solemn assemblies.^H6116

But woe^G3759 unto you,^G5213 scribes^G1122 and^G2532 Pharisees,^G5330 hypocrites!^G5273 because^G3754 ye shut^G2808 the kingdom^G932 of heaven^G3772 against^G1715 men:^G444 for^G1063 ye^G5210 enter not^G3756 in^G1525 yourselves, neither^G3756 suffer ye^G5210 them that are entering^G1525 in^G1525 to enter.
