And Moses^H4872 made^H6213 a serpent^H5175 of brass,^H5178 and set^H7760 it upon the standard:^H5251 and it came to pass, that if a serpent^H5175 had bitten^H5391 any man,^H376 when he looked^H5027 unto the serpent^H5175 of brass,^H5178 he lived.^H2425

And^G2532 the Word^G3056 became flesh,^G4561 and^G2532 dwelt^G4637 among^G1722 us^G2254 (and^G2532 we beheld^G2300 his^G846 glory,^G1391 glory^G1391 as^G5613 of^G3844 the only begotten^G3439 from^G3844 the Father),^G3962 full^G4134 of grace^G5485 and^G2532 truth.^G225

So^G3767 they^G5455 called a second^G1208 time^G1537 the man^G444 that^G3739 was^G2258 blind,^G5185 and^G2532 said^G2036 unto him,^G846 Give^G1325 glory^G1391 to God:^G2316 we^G2249 know^G1492 that^G3754 this^G3778 man^G444 is^G2076 a sinner.^G268

because^G1360 by^G1537 the works^G2041 of the law^G3551 shall^G1344 no^G3756 flesh^G4561 be justified^G1344 in^G1799 his^G846 sight;^G1799 for^G1063 through^G1223 the law^G3551 [cometh] the knowledge^G1922 of sin.^G266

For^G1063 when^G3753 we were^G1510 in^G1722 the flesh,^G4561 the sinful^G266 passions,^G3804 which were^G3588 through^G1223 the law,^G3551 wrought^G1754 in^G1722 our^G2257 members^G3196 to^G1519 bring forth fruit^G2592 unto death.^G2288

For^G1063 I^G1473 could wish that^G2172 I myself^G846 were^G1511 anathema^G331 from^G575 Christ^G5547 for^G5228 my^G3450 brethren's^G80 sake, my^G3450 kinsmen^G4773 according to^G2596 the flesh:^G4561

Christ^G5547 redeemed^G1805 us^G2248 from^G1537 the curse^G2671 of the law,^G3551 having become^G1096 a curse^G2671 for^G5228 us;^G2257 for^G1063 it is written,^G1125 Cursed^G1944 is every one^G3956 that^G3588 hangeth^G2910 on^G1909 a tree:^G3586

Since^G1893 then^G3767 the^G1893 children^G3813 are sharers^G2841 in flesh^G4561 and^G2532 blood,^G129 he^G3348 also^G2532 himself^G846 in like manner^G3898 partook^G3348 of the same;^G846 that^G2443 through^G1223 death^G2288 he might bring to nought^G2673 him that had^G2192 the power^G2904 of death,^G2288 that^G5124 is,^G2076 the devil;^G1228

For^G1063 we have^G2192 not^G3756 a high priest^G749 that ^G1410 cannot^G3361 be touched with the feeling^G4834 of our^G2257 infirmities;^G769 but^G1161 one that hath been^G3985 in^G2596 all points^G3956 tempted^{G3985 G3987} like^G2596 as^G3665 [we are, yet] without^G5565 sin.^G266

For^G1063 the law^G3551 having^G2192 a shadow^G4639 of the good [things]^G18 to come,^G3195 not^G3756 the very^G846 image^G1504 of the things,^G4229 can^G1410 never^G3763 with the same^G846 sacrifices^G2378 year by^G2596 year,^{G1763 G1519} which^G3739 they offer^G4374 continually,^G1336 make^G5048 perfect^G5048 them that draw nigh.^G5048

For^G1063 by one^G1520 offering^G4376 he hath perfected^G5048 for^G1519 ever^G1336 them that are sanctified.^G37

Forasmuch then as^G3767 Christ^G5547 suffered^{G3958 G5228 G2257} in the flesh,^G4561 arm^G3695 ye yourselves^G5210 also^G2532 with the same^G846 mind;^G1771 for^G3754 he that hath suffered^G3958 in^G1722 the flesh^G4561 hath ceased^G3973 from sin;^G266
