We came a rouyng vpon the south of Chretus, and vpon the coast belonging to Iuda, and toward the south of Caleb, and we burnt Ziklag with fyre.

And there went out after him Ioabs men, and the Cerethites, and the Phelethites, and all the mightyest men: And they departed out of Hierusalem, to folow after Seba the sonne of Bichri.

And Ira the Iairite was chiefe about Dauid.

These thinges did Banaiah ye sonne of Iehoida, and had the name among the three worthies.

And the king hath sent with him Sadoc the priest, and Nathan the prophet, and Banaiah the sonne of Iehoiada, & the Cerethites, and the Phelethites, & they haue set him vpo the kinges mule.

Banaiah the sonne of Iehoiada was ouer the hoast: Sadoc and Abiathar were the priestes.

And the seuenth yere Iehoiada sent and set the rulers ouer hundredes, with the captaynes and them of the garde, and toke them to him into the house of the Lorde, & made a bonde with them, and toke an oth of them in the house of the Lorde, and shewed them the kinges sonne.

Therfore thus saith the Lord God, Behold I will stretche out my hande ouer the Philistines, and destroy the Cerethites, and cause all the remnaunt of the sea coast to perishe:
