The vngodly spyeth the righteous: and seeketh occasion to slay hym.

Then went the Pharisees, and toke councell how they myght intangle hym in his talke.

And one of them, which was a lawyer, asked hym a question, temptyng hym, and saying:

And they sent vnto hym, certayne of the pharisees, and of the Herodians to take hym in his wordes.
