And he that taketh not his crosse, & foloweth me, is not worthy of me.

And when he had called the people vnto hym, with his disciples also, he said vnto them: Whosoeuer wyll folow me, let hym forsake hym selfe, and take vp his crosse, and folowe me.

He that loueth his lyfe, shall destroy it: and he that hateth his lyfe in this worlde, shall kepe it vnto lyfe eternall.

Why are they then baptized for them? And why stande we in ieopardie euery houre?

Yea, and all that wyll lyue godly in Christe Iesus, shall suffer persecution.
