That thou appeare not vnto men, to fast: but vnto thy father, which is in secrete, and thy father, which seeth in secrete, shall rewarde thee openly.

All their workes they do, for to be sene of men: They make broade their philacteries, and enlarge the hemmes of their garmentes.

I fast twise in the weeke, I geue tithe of all that I possesse.
