Thou shalt not auenge nor wayte to do displeasure agaynst the chyldren of thy people, but shalt loue thy neighbour euen as thy selfe: I am the Lorde.

Then shall it be no griefe vnto thee, nor offence of mynde vnto my lorde, that thou hast not shed blood causelesse, and that my lord hath not auenged him selfe: But when the Lorde shall haue dealt well with my lord, then thinke on thyne handmayde.

But Zedekia the sonne of Chanaana went to & smote Michea on the cheke, and sayde: When went the spirite of the Lorde from me, to speake vnto thee?

Haue I euer reioyced at the hurt of myne enemie? or was I euer glad that any harme happened vnto him? Oh, no.

Say not, I wyll handle hym euen as he hath dealt with me: and wyll rewarde euery man according to his deedes.

He offreth his cheeke to the smyter, he wyll be content with reproffes:

And vnto hym that smyteth thee on the one cheeke, offer also the other. And hym that taketh away thy cloke, forbyd not to take thy coate also.

Recompensyng to no man euyll for euyll. Prouydyng afore hande thynges honest, not only before God, but also in the syght of all men.

See that none recompence euyll for euyll vnto any man: but euer folowe that whiche is good, both among your selues, and to all men.

Ye haue condempned and kylled the iust, and he hath not resisted you.

Not rendryng euyl for euyll, or rebuke for rebuke: but contrarywyse blesse, knowyng that ye are therevnto called, euen that ye shoulde be heyres of the blessyng.
