For thou O Lord hast proued vs: thou hast tryed vs, like as siluer is tryed.

And I shall lay my hande vpon thee, and purely purge away thy drosse, and take away all thy tinne:

But who may abyde the day of his comming? and who shall stand when he appeareth? for he is lyke a purging fire, and lyke fullers sope.

But in a great house are not onely vessels of golde, and of siluer, but also of wood and of earth: some to honour, and some vnto dishonour.
