Because they met you not with bread and water in the way, when ye came out of Egypt, and because they hyred against thee Balaam the sonne of Beor of Pethor of Mesopotamia, to curse thee.
And the Philistine sayd vnto Dauid: Am I a dogge, that thou commest to me with staues? And the Philistine cursed Dauid in ye name of his goddes.
It may be that the Lorde will loke on myne affliction, and do me good for his cursing this day.
They will curse, but thou wylt blesse: they wyl rise vp against me but let them be confounded, and thy seruaunt wyll reioyce.
