be ye sure then, that the LORDE youre God shall nomore dryue out all these nacions before you, but they shall be vnto you a snare and net, and prickes in youre sydes, and thornes in youre eyes, vntyll he haue destroyed you from the good lode, which the LORDE youre God hath geuen you.
Vpon the vngodly he shal rayne snares, fyre, brymstone, storme and tempest: this rewarde shal they haue to drynke.
Who so dwelleth vnder ye defence of the most hyest, & abydeth vnder ye shadowe of ye allmightie:
He that kepeth his mouth, kepeth his life: but who so speaketh vnaduysed, fyndeth harme.
The waye of ye slouthfull is full of thornes, but ye strete of the rightuous is well clensed.
Who so kepeth the comaundemet, kepeth his owne soule: but he yt regardeth not his waye, shal dye.
But ye derlye beloued, edifye youre selues in youre most holy faith, prayenge in the holy goost,
