I haue sworne once by mine holines, that I will not fayle Dauid, saying,

Then he sayd, Heare you nowe, O house of Dauid, Is it a small thing for you to grieue men, that ye will also grieue my God?

And in that day the roote of Ishai, which shall stand vp for a signe vnto the people, the nations shall seeke vnto it, and his rest shall be glorious.

Tell ye and bring them, and let them take counsell together, who hath declared this from the beginning? or hath tolde it of olde? Haue not I the Lord? and there is none other God beside me, a iust God, and a Sauiour: there is none beside me.

In those dayes and at that time, wil I cause the branch of righteousnesse to growe vp vnto Dauid, & he shall execute iudgement, and righteousnes in the land.

Reioyce greatly, O daughter Zion: shoute for ioy, O daughter Ierusalem: beholde, thy King commeth vnto thee: he is iust and saued himselfe, poore and riding vpon an asse, and vpon a colt the foale of an asse.

And she shall bring foorth a sonne, and thou shalt call his name Iesvs: for hee shall saue his people from their sinnes.

Saying, What thinke ye of Christ? whose sonne is he? They sayd vnto him, Dauids.

And hath raised vp the horne of saluation vnto vs, in the house of his seruant Dauid,

And they said vnto the woman, Nowe we beleeue, not because of thy saying: for we haue heard him our selues, and knowe that this is in deede that Christ the Sauiour of the world.

Therefore, seeing hee was a Prophet, and knewe that God had sworne with an othe to him, that of the fruite of his loynes hee woulde raise vp Christ concerning the flesh, to set him vpon his throne,

First vnto you hath God raysed vp his Sonne Iesus, and him hee hath sent to blesse you, in turning euery one of you from your iniquities.

The God of our fathers hath raised vp Iesus, whom ye slewe, and hanged on a tree.

Concerning his Sonne Iesus Christ our Lord (which was made of the seede of Dauid according to the flesh,

To Titus my naturall sonne according to the common faith, Grace, mercie and peace from God the Father, and from the Lorde Iesus Christ our Sauiour.

For wee our selues also were in times past vnwise, disobedient, deceiued, seruing the lustes and diuers pleasures, liuing in maliciousnes and enuie, hatefull, and hating one another:

For by this meanes an entring shalbe ministred vnto you aboundantly into the euerlasting kingdome of our Lorde and Sauiour Iesus Christ.

To call to remembrance the wordes, which were tolde before of the holy Prophetes, and also the commaundement of vs the Apostles of the Lord and Sauiour.

And we haue seene, & doe testifie, that the Father sent that Sonne to be ye Sauiour of the world.

I Iesus haue sent mine Angell, to testifie vnto you these things in the Churches: I am the roote and the generation of Dauid, and the bright morning starre.
