After that, he appeared vnto two of them in an other forme, as they walked and went into the countrey.

Nowe ye are witnesses of these things.

The same day then at night, which was the first day of the weeke, and when the doores were shut where the disciples were assembled for feare of the Iewes, came Iesus and stoode in the middes, and saide to them, Peace be vnto you.

To whome also he presented himselfe aliue after that he had suffered, by many infallible tokens, being seene of them by the space of fourtie daies, and speaking of those thinges which appertaine to the kingdome of God.

Which also sayde, Yee men of Galile, why stande yee gasing into heauen? This Iesus which is taken vp from you into heauen, shal so come, as yee haue seene him goe into heauen.

This Iesus hath God raised vp, whereof we all are witnesses.

And we are his witnesses concerning these things which we say: yea, & the holy Ghost, whome God hath giuen to them that obey him.

Not to all the people, but vnto the witnesses chosen before of God, euen to vs which did eate and drinke with him, after he arose from the dead.

How shall we escape, if we neglect so great saluation, which at the first began to be preached by the Lorde, and afterward was confirmed vnto vs by them that heard him,
