Reioyce and be glad, for great is your reward in heauen: for so persecuted they the Prophets which were before you.

And ye nowe therefore are in sorowe: but I will see you againe, & your hearts shal reioyce, and your ioy shall no man take from you.

And they continued dayly with one accord in the Temple, and breaking bread at home, did eate their meate together with gladnesse and singlenesse of heart,

So they departed from the Councill, reioycing, that they were counted worthy to suffer rebuke for his Name.

For the kingdome of God, is not meate nor drinke, but righteousnes, and peace, and ioye in the holy Ghost.

Because in great triall of affliction their ioy abounded, and their most extreeme pouertie abounded vnto their rich liberalitie.

And be not drunke with wine, wherein is excesse: but be fulfilled with the Spirit,

My brethren, count it exceeding ioy, when ye fall into diuers tentations,

But reioyce, in asmuch as ye are partakers of Christs suffrings, that when his glory shall appeare, ye may be glad and reioyce.
