(24:18) And sayd to Dauid, Thou art more righteous then I: for thou hast rendred me good, and I haue rendred thee euill.

And when the Scribes and Pharises sawe him eate with the Publicanes and sinners, they sayd vnto his disciples, Howe is it, that hee eateth and drinketh with Publicanes and sinners?

Then sayd Pilate to the hie Priests, and to the people, I finde no fault in this man.

And he sayd vnto them the third time, But what euill hath he done? I finde no cause of death in him: I will therefore chastise him, and let him loose.

But if it be of God, ye can not destroy it, lest ye be found euen fighters against God.

For as much then as God gaue them a like gift, as he did vnto vs, when we beleeued in the Lorde Iesus Christ, who was I, that I coulde let God?

And it came to passe, that when I was come againe to Hierusalem, and prayed in the Temple, I was in a traunce,

There I perceiued that hee was accused of questions of their Lawe, but had no crime worthy of death, or of bondes.

So when we were all fallen to the earth, I heard a voyce speaking vnto me, and saying in the Hebrew tongue, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me? It is hard for thee to kicke against pricks.

For there stood by me this night the Angel of God, whose I am, and whome I serue,
