And when Ahab saw Eliiah, Ahab said vnto him, Art thou he that troubleth Israel?

And the King of Israel said vnto Iehoshaphat, There is yet one man (Michaiah the sonne of Imlah) by whom we may aske counsel of the Lord, but I hate him: for he doeth not prophecie good vnto me, but euill; Iehoshaphat sayd, Let not the King say so.

Therefore the Princes sayd vnto the King, We beseech you, let this man be put to death: for thus hee weakeneth the hands of the men of warre that remaine in this citie, and the hands of all the people, in speaking such wordes vnto them: for this man seeketh not the wealth of this people, but the hurt.

And whosoeuer shall fall on this stone, he shalbe broken: but on whomsoeuer it shal fall, it will dash him a pieces.

Then answered all the people, and saide, His bloud be on vs, and on our children.

But ye denied the Holy one and the Iust, and desired a murtherer to be giuen you,

So they called them, and commaunded them, that in no wise they should speake or teach in the Name of Iesus.

Which of the Prophets haue not your fathers persecuted? & they haue slaine them, which shewed before of the comming of that Iust, of whome ye are now the betrayers and murtherers,
