And cause thine eares to hearken vnto wisdome, and encline thine heart to vnderstanding,
All the labour of man is for his mouth: yet the soule is not filled.
Beholde, my seruaunt: I will stay vpon him: mine elect, in whom my soule deliteth: I haue put my Spirit vpo him: he shal bring forth iudgement to the Gentiles.
The Spirit of the Lorde God is vpon mee, therefore hath the Lorde anoynted mee: hee hath sent mee to preache good tidings vnto the poore, to binde vp the broken hearted, to preach libertie to the captiues, and to them that are bound, the opening of the prison,
Beholde, is it not of the Lorde of hostes that the people shal labour in ye very fire? the people shall euen weary themselues for very vanitie.
Lay not vp treasures for your selues vpon the earth, where the mothe & canker corrupt, and where theeues digge through and steale.
But Iesus saide vnto him, The foxes haue holes, and the birdes of the heauen haue nestes, but the Sonne of man hath not whereon to rest his head.
Then there was a voyce from heauen, saying, Thou art my beloued Sonne, in whome I am well pleased.
And the holy Ghost came downe in a bodily shape like a doue, vpon him, and there was a voyce from heauen, saying, Thou art my beloued Sonne: in thee I am well pleased.
And there came a voyce out of the cloud, saying, This is that my beloued Sonne, heare him.
And I knewe him not: but he that sent me to baptize with water, he saide vnto me, Vpon whom thou shalt see that Spirit come downe, and tary still on him, that is he which baptizeth with the holy Ghost.
Iesus answered, and said vnto her, Whosoeuer drinketh of this water, shall thirst againe:
Then sayde they vnto him, What shall we doe, that we might worke the workes of God?
I am that liuing breade, which came downe from heauen: if any man eate of this breade, hee shall liue for euer: and the bread that I will giue, is my flesh, which I will giue for the life of the world.
This is that bread which came downe from heauen: not as your fathers haue eaten Manna, and are deade. Hee that eateth of this bread, shall liue for euer.
I am one that beare witnes of my selfe, and the Father that sent me, beareth witnes of me.
If I doe not the workes of my Father, beleeue me not.
I knowe that thou hearest me alwayes, but because of the people that stand by, I said it, that they may beleeue, that thou hast sent me.
If I had not done workes among them which none other man did, they had not had sinne: but nowe haue they both seene, and haue hated both me, and my Father.
Yee men of Israel, heare these woordes, Iesvs of Nazareth, a man approued of God among you with great workes, and wonders, and signes, which God did by him in the middes of you, as yee your selues also knowe:
After, he receiued the signe of circumcision, as the seale of the righteousnesse of ye faith which he had, when he was vncircumcised, that he should be the father of all them that beleeue, not being circumcised, that righteousnesse might be imputed to them also,
Meates are ordeined for the bellie, & the belly for the meates: but God shall destroy both it, and them. Nowe the bodie is not for fornication, but for the Lord, and the Lord for the bodie.
If I be not an Apostle vnto other, yet doutlesse I am vnto you: for ye are the seale of mine Apostleship in the Lord.
While we looke not on the thinges which are seene, but on the things which are not seene: for the things which are seene, are temporall: but the things which are not seene, are eternall.
For it is God which worketh in you, both the will and the deede, euen of his good pleasure.
Which al perish with the vsing, and are after the commandements and doctrines of men.
Without ceasing, remembring your effectuall faith, and diligent loue, and the patience of your hope in our Lord Iesus Christ, in the sight of God euen our Father,
Let vs studie therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same ensample of disobedience.
For as when the sunne riseth with heate, then the grasse withereth, and his flower falleth away, and the goodly shape of it perisheth: euen so shall the rich man wither away in all his waies.
For he receiued of God the Father honour and glory, when there came such a voyce to him from that excellent glory, This is my beloued Sonne, in whom I am well pleased.
