And Salomon sayd, Thou hast shewed vnto thy seruant Dauid my father great mercie, when hee walked before thee in trueth, and in righteonsnes, & in vprightnes of heart with thee: and thou hast kept for him this great mercie, and hast giuen him a sonne, to sit on his throne, as appeareth this day.

There was a man in the lande of Vz called Iob, & this man was an vpright and iust man, one that feared God, and eschewed euill.
And vnto man he said, Behold, the feare of the Lord is wisedome, and to depart from euil is vnderstanding.
Prayse ye the Lord. Blessed is the man, that feareth the Lord, and deliteth greatly in his commandements.
Whose wayes are crooked and they are lewde in their paths.
By mercy and trueth iniquitie shalbe forgiuen, and by the feare of the Lorde they depart from euill.
Better is ye poore that walketh in his vprightnes, then he that abuseth his lips, & is a foole.
Let vs heare the end of all: feare God and keepe his commandements: for this is the whole duetie of man.
He that heareth you, heareth me: and he that despiseth you, despiseth me: and he that despiseth me, despiseth him that sent me.
Then had the Churches rest through all Iudea, and Galile, and Samaria, and were edified and walked in the feare of the Lorde, and were multiplied by the comfort of the holy Ghost.
But in euery nation he that feareth him, and worketh righteousnesse, is accepted with him.
