Praise ye the LORD for the avenging of Israel, when the people willingly offered themselves.

Now therefore, my lord, [as] the LORD liveth, and [as] thy soul liveth, seeing the LORD hath withholden thee from coming to [shed] blood, and from avenging thyself with thine own hand, now let thine enemies, and they that seek evil to my lord, be as Nabal.

For in very deed, [as] the LORD God of Israel liveth, which hath kept me back from hurting thee, except thou hadst hasted and come to meet me, surely there had not been left unto Nabal by the morning light any that pisseth against the wall.

And David said unto him, Thy blood [be] upon thy head; for thy mouth hath testified against thee, saying, I have slain the LORD'S anointed.

The LORD liveth; and blessed [be] my rock; and exalted be the God of the rock of my salvation.

So they hanged Haman on the gallows that he had prepared for Mordecai. Then was the king's wrath pacified.

His mischief shall return upon his own head, and his violent dealing shall come down upon his own pate.

The righteous shall rejoice when he seeth the vengeance: he shall wash his feet in the blood of the wicked.

¶ House and riches [are] the inheritance of fathers: and a prudent wife [is] from the LORD.

¶ Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price [is] far above rubies.

¶ We have a little sister, and she hath no breasts: what shall we do for our sister in the day when she shall be spoken for?

¶ Therefore, behold, I will hedge up thy way with thorns, and make a wall, that she shall not find her paths.

¶ Now I pray to God that ye do no evil; not that we should appear approved, but that ye should do that which is honest, though we be as reprobates.

And the Lord shall deliver me from every evil work, and will preserve [me] unto his heavenly kingdom: to whom [be] glory for ever and ever. Amen.
