TSK · Acts 6:5

¶ A soft answer turneth away wrath: but grievous words stir up anger.

¶ A word fitly spoken [is like] apples of gold in pictures of silver.

‹Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye compass sea and land to make one proselyte, and when he is made, ye make him twofold more the child of hell than yourselves.›

¶ And Stephen, full of faith and power, did great wonders and miracles among the people.

¶ Then said the high priest, Are these things so?

¶ Now they which were scattered abroad upon the persecution that arose about Stephen travelled as far as Phenice, and Cyprus, and Antioch, preaching the word to none but unto the Jews only.

¶ Now there were in the church that was at Antioch certain prophets and teachers; as Barnabas, and Simeon that was called Niger, and Lucius of Cyrene, and Manaen, which had been brought up with Herod the tetrarch, and Saul.

¶ And the next [day] we that were of Paul's company departed, and came unto Caesarea: and we entered into the house of Philip the evangelist, which was [one] of the seven; and abode with him.

‹So hast thou also them that hold the doctrine of the Nicolaitans, which thing I hate.›
