And I appeared unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob, by [the name of] God Almighty, but by my name JEHOVAH was I not known to them.

¶ And the LORD descended in the cloud, and stood with him there, and proclaimed the name of the LORD.

I the LORD have said, I will surely do it unto all this evil congregation, that are gathered together against me: in this wilderness they shall be consumed, and there they shall die.

And Joshua said unto the people, Ye cannot serve the LORD: for he [is] an holy God; he [is] a jealous God; he will not forgive your transgressions nor your sins.

Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish [from] the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed [are] all they that put their trust in him.

¶ How oft did they provoke him in the wilderness, [and] grieve him in the desert!

That [men] may know that thou, whose name alone [is] JEHOVAH, [art] the most high over all the earth.

For every battle of the warrior [is] with confused noise, and garments rolled in blood; but [this] shall be with burning [and] fuel of fire.

I [am] the LORD: that [is] my name: and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images.

For thus saith the high and lofty One that inhabiteth eternity, whose name [is] Holy; I dwell in the high and holy [place], with him also [that is] of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones.

In his days Judah shall be saved, and Israel shall dwell safely: and this [is] his name whereby he shall be called, THE LORD OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS.

Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.

‹That all› [men] ‹should honour the Son, even as they honour the Father. He that honoureth not the Son honoureth not the Father which hath sent him.›

‹But if I do, though ye believe not me, believe the works: that ye may know, and believe, that the Father› [is] ‹in me, and I in him.›

And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.

Wherefore I was grieved with that generation, and said, They do alway err in [their] heart; and they have not known my ways.

For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,

If any man see his brother sin a sin [which is] not unto death, he shall ask, and he shall give him life for them that sin not unto death. There is a sin unto death: I do not say that he shall pray for it.

¶ ‹And unto the angel of the church in Smyrna write; These things saith the first and the last, which was dead, and is alive;›

¶ ‹And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write; These things saith he that is holy, he that is true, he that hath the key of David, he that openeth, and no man shutteth; and shutteth, and no man openeth;›
