Come now therefore, and let us slay him, and cast him into some pit, and we will say, Some evil beast hath devoured him: and we shall see what will become of his dreams.

And God Almighty give you mercy before the man, that he may send away your other brother, and Benjamin. If I be bereaved [of my children], I am bereaved.

And Israel said, [It is] enough; Joseph my son [is] yet alive: I will go and see him before I die.

¶ And David said in his heart, I shall now perish one day by the hand of Saul: [there is] nothing better for me than that I should speedily escape into the land of the Philistines; and Saul shall despair of me, to seek me any more in any coast of Israel: so shall I escape out of his hand.

Many [are] the afflictions of the righteous: but the LORD delivereth him out of them all.

By this therefore shall the iniquity of Jacob be purged; and this [is] all the fruit to take away his sin; when he maketh all the stones of the altar as chalkstones that are beaten in sunder, the groves and images shall not stand up.

¶ Fear thou not; for I [am] with thee: be not dismayed; for I [am] thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.

And immediately Jesus stretched forth [his] hand, and caught him, and said unto him, ‹O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt?›

¶ What shall we then say to these things? If God [be] for us, who [can be] against us?

For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding [and] eternal weight of glory;
