‹Thinkest thou that I cannot now pray to my Father, and he shall presently give me more than twelve legions of angels?›

‹That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.›

‹Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.›

‹Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day.›

¶ Jesus heard that they had cast him out; and when he had found him, he said unto him, ‹Dost thou believe on the Son of God?›

‹Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.›

¶ He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself: he that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son.
