His seed shall endure for ever, and his throne as the sun before me.
Of the increase of [his] government and peace [there shall be] no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this.
And David my servant [shall be] king over them; and they all shall have one shepherd: they shall also walk in my judgments, and observe my statutes, and do them.
And there was given him dominion, and glory, and a kingdom, that all people, nations, and languages, should serve him: his dominion [is] an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom [that] which shall not be destroyed.
And I will make her that halted a remnant, and her that was cast far off a strong nation: and the LORD shall reign over them in mount Zion from henceforth, even for ever.
¶ When Jesus came into the coasts of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, saying, ‹Whom do men say that I the Son of man am?›
Saying, ‹What think ye of Christ? whose son is he?› They say unto him, [The Son] of David.
‹Verily, verily, I say unto you, The hour is coming, and now is, when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God: and they that hear shall live.›
Jesus answered them, ‹Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are gods?›
‹But› [this cometh to pass], ‹that the word might be fulfilled that is written in their law, They hated me without a cause.›
Therefore as by the offence of one [judgment came] upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one [the free gift came] upon all men unto justification of life.
