‹For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.›
¶ ‹And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites› [are]: ‹for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.›
And as they did eat, he said, ‹Verily I say unto you, that one of you shall betray me.›
‹And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear you, when ye depart thence, shake off the dust under your feet for a testimony against them. Verily I say unto you, It shall be more tolerable for Sodom and Gomorrha in the day of judgment, than for that city.›
¶ And he said unto them, ‹Verily I say unto you, That there be some of them that stand here, which shall not taste of death, till they have seen the kingdom of God come with power.›
‹Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child, he shall not enter therein.›

Jesus answered, ‹Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and› [of] ‹the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.›
Then answered Jesus and said unto them, ‹Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father do: for what things soever he doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise.›
Jesus answered them and said, ‹Verily, verily, I say unto you, Ye seek me, not because ye saw the miracles, but because ye did eat of the loaves, and were filled.›
‹Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life.›
When Jesus had thus said, he was troubled in spirit, and testified, and said, ‹Verily, verily, I say unto you, that one of you shall betray me.›
‹Verily, verily, I say unto thee, When thou wast young, thou girdedst thyself, and walkedst whither thou wouldest: but when thou shalt be old, thou shalt stretch forth thy hands, and another shall gird thee, and carry› [thee] ‹whither thou wouldest not.›
